The euro symbol has a handy shortcut key on most keyboards, useful for those wanting to type it frequently. Though not all laptop keyboards have the euro shortcut key labeled, there are multiple ways to type the euro symbol quickly and easily on any PC. Microsoft Word offers a universal way to type the euro symbol, and there is an alt code for the euro symbol for use on other keyboards.
Type Alt-0128, if the other keyboard shortcuts don't work, by pressing and holding Alt while you type 0128 on the number pad (not the row of numbers at the top of the keyboard), while NumLock is on. On some laptops, there is a Fn shortcut to activate the number pad.
